My Family
As
a typical Mexican, we come from where family is very important to us. My family and I enjoy doing some extreme
sports. When we were younger our motto was “We do it together, or we don’t do
it all.” That was our motto for as long as I remember. Then all of a sudden, we
grew up. As we got older, we all tend do to our own things and slowly that
motto started to fade away. My oldest
sister, Cristina, still lives at home. Although, she may live at home and we
see each other daily, she is always in her room and most of the time she would
rather be by herself. My other older sister, who is also the middle child, well
she moved in with her boyfriend. I rarely see her because well she is doing her
own thing with her boyfriend and because we barely got along as well. As for my
parents, well my mother is a stay home mom and my dad is an owner of a ranch in
Camarillo. My dad and I still keep that motto. We always hang out and go do
something exciting on the weekends. Whether it was hiking, snowboarding,
swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding.
This tends to hurt my family because at one point we were close where we
hung out every weekend and now we rarely talk to each other. Its as if we hate
each other. The only time we talk or see each other is if an unexpected event
occurs. Which to me is sad because there isn’t any communication between any of
us. My oldest sister Cristina is more of
a girly girl where she dresses up everyday and puts on make up. She is very
similar to my mom but my mom doesn’t put very much make up. As for me my dad always tells me “You’re the
boy I never had.” I always laugh when he tells me. My dad and I are very
similar where we just don’t care if we get hurt, we just love to have fun and
try new things. Sadly our family isn’t the same way but it wasn’t my choice nor
my parents choice to conceive their other daughters.
i think its cool how it doesn't affect you if you get hurt. i wish i could be like that.
ReplyDeleteThat tends to happen when people start to grow up and start developing deferent choices, but at least you have your dad to do all those crazy cool things. Not a lot of people have done any of those things with any of their family.
ReplyDeleteHow fun, doing outdoor activities together! Sounds like you and your dad have a great relationship!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome father daughter relationship.
ReplyDeletei wish i had that kind of relationship with my father!!! it is nice that you hang out with him, and you guys kept your motto alive!
ReplyDeleteI hope my daughter and i also have a good relationship. Hope you and your family start to hangout more.
ReplyDeleteI have a similar relationship with my mom.
ReplyDeleteYou and your dad have a very good relationship. It must be so awesome to go out and hang out with your dad the way that you do. I'm very close with my dad but he is more laid back and chill. I wish we could do some things like you and your dad.
ReplyDeleteVery good. it's nice that you have a good relationship with your dad
ReplyDeleteA family motto is very exciting and particular to each family, it’s a shame it slowly disappeared. Keep it going with your dad as long as you can.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice family motto to live by with your family. I'm sorry you are no longer that close with your family. But it seems nice to be close to your dad and spend a lot of quality time with him. I hope overtime things get better for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a perfect relationship with your father.
