Tracy Schamber

Jessica Mendez

Who is Tracy Schamber?
Tracy Schamber who isn’t your typical type of girl you meet in todays world. She was born and raised in California but lived in Texas for two years. Most of her family is either from Texas or Oklahoma. Tracy’s motivation to attend college is because she wants to “further her education.” “I want to end up getting a Masters degree in Psychology,” she told me. Tracy works full time and is currently taking two classes here at Oxnard College.  It is hard for her to balance family, school and work. She had a horse last year where that was her “hide out” and works one too many hours.  Tracy considers herself to be easy going, patient, and kind.
She has two mentors in her life whom she consider to be role models. Their names are John and Peter. Ten years from now, Tracy would like to have more direct work with parents about children. Not necessarily tell them they are bad parents but make suggestions on what they can do for their children.
Her motto for life is “It’s what I do with my money.” She had given me an example of “regardless if there is billionaire who is acting homeless, I would give him money because that is who I am and it is my money.”
One thing that surprised Tracy about Oxnard College was the difference in the professor’s personalities.
